These are the projects I get involved or organised during my degree career.
Community Service at Rumah Hope (June 2024)
Rumah Hope is an orphanage located at Petaling Jaya. My group members and I set up a booth at our university foyer to do fundraising for them. We managed to get RM1,940.75 in donations. We used part of our donation to buy some gifts for the kids and materials to do the baking session at Rumah Hope. During the execution day, we had a baking session, a cleaning session and a trivia game session at Rumah Hope. In the end, we donated RM1,100.00 to Rumah Hope. In this project, my role is event organiser and treasurer. My main responsibilities is to calculate the donation we received, calculate the expenses of buying all the materials, buy gifts for the kids and transfer the donation to Rumah Hope.
In and Out (July 2024)
In and Out is a health and wellness event that is hosted in two different venues at Sunway University. The first venue was a bazaar that had 16 vendors selling foods and beverages, flowers, makeup products, crochet and other accessories. The second venue hosted activities that related to health and wellness such as fitness competition, self made bath bomb workshop and yoga workshop. In this event, I worked as an event organiser and treasurer. My main responsibilities were to liaise with vendors for the booth rental payment and returning deposit, calculated the profit and loss for the whole event and buying event items. After the event ended, we managed to earn RM2,500.00 of profit and we decided to donate to Shelter Home which is an orphanage.
